Emory Johns Creek Hospital Mother Baby Patients:

Emory Johns Creek Hospital's mother-baby patients receive an exclusive 30-minute newborn hospital session during their hospital stay on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 12pm. Parents are requested to feed their baby at least 30-45 minutes PRIOR to their scheduled session. If you are desiring a newborn session with the use of our wide array of props please inquire about our full newborn session that are at our studio in Roswell Georgia.

Do I need to make an appointment before my hospital stay at Emory Johns Creek Hospital? Since most deliveries are unpredictable, you do not need to make an appointment prior to your hospital stay. Please contact us after you have been admitted to the mother-baby postpartum unit to schedule your appointment on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Please email OR call our studio at 404-862-3664 to schedule your hospital session. If you call and receive our voicemail, please leave a message as your call is very important to us and we will call you back as soon as we are available.

What props are provided for the hospital newborn session? A white backdrop, matching hat or headband and a white wrap is provided. Hospital sessions are 30 minutes in length and a specific posing flow is followed with provided props so that at least 15-20 images are obtained. Newborn sessions with costumes, buckets, baskets, and sets typically take about 3 hours and are available at our studio in Roswell.

My baby is in the NICU and will not be able to do a session for quite some time. Will my baby be able to have a session? Absolutely! Please contact us so that we can arrange a session prior to your baby's discharge date. The NICU nurses and I will work together to make sure your baby is captured when they are ready.

I have been discharged home, but now I am regretting that I did not have baby's pictures done while we were at the hospital. I am now wanting to have my hospital newborn session. May I come back to the hospital and have our newborn hospital session honored? Patients may not return to the hospital at a later date to receive a hospital session. Your hospital session must be done during your hospital stay. Sessions do fill up fast and are offered at Emory Johns Creek Hospital on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

How should we prepare for our session? In order to maximize the session, please feed your baby at least 45 minutes prior to their session, have your baby undressed to their diaper and swaddled in their hospital blanket. A fed and sleeping baby will allow for the session to be maximized to its fullest potential. If sibling images are desired, please make sure siblings are ready at the time of your scheduled session. It is recommended that all family members wear neutral-colored clothing such as a solid white, gray, or blacktop. Avoid clothing with bright colors, logos, patterns, graphics, writing, and stripes. Mothers are only photographed from the chest up.

I want my older child(ren) to be apart of the session too, but they are in school. Can you photograph us in the evening or can we add on more images if we come to your studio? Hospital sessions are designed to capture those first days of baby while at the hospital. Sibling images are welcomed during the appointment times that we have available at the hospital on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 12pm. However, our most popular sessions are our newborn studio sessions where the sessions are longer and families are better prepared, rested and relaxed. Our studio sessions are best captured when the baby is between 6 days and three weeks old. We take a limited number of studio sessions per month, please inquire for availability.

When and how do I pay for my session? Payment is due at the time of service. We offer a variety of products and packages including digitals, prints, canvases, and birth announcements. Families plan to spend an average of $400 on their newborn hospital session package. We accept all major credit cards and cash. To view more information on our packages and products, please contact us to obtain our newborn hospital brochure for Emory Johns Creek Hospital.
